Effective immediately, North Second St. between Pear Avenue and Marble Avenue will be blocked to through traffic to allow the CNIC Railroad to perform emergency repair work on the CNIC-Amtrak railroad crossing. The duration of closure is undetermined and will depend upon the scope of repairs needed.
Motorists who normally use N. Second Street between Pear Avenue and Marble Avenue are advised to use an alternate route for the duration of the closure.
The signed detour route will make use of Pear Avenue, Danny Thomas and Marble Avenue.
Local traffic will have access on Second Street up to the closure at the railroad tracks.
